Cashier

Rockafellas is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily restaurant operations and provide efficient service to guests. This role involves processing payments, assisting with customer orders, answering basic menu questions, maintaining an organized checkout area, and coordinating with restaurant team members to help ensure smooth service. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process customer payments accurately using the POS system.
• Handle cash, credit cards, and other approved payment methods.
• Assist with dine-in, takeout, and pickup orders as needed.
• Answer basic questions about menu items, pricing, and restaurant offerings.
• Confirm order details and communicate customer requests to kitchen and service staff.
• Provide receipts and assist with routine checkout requests.
• Keep the register, counter, and front-of-house areas clean and organized.
• Restock menus, napkins, utensils, containers, and other service supplies.
• Assist restaurant team members during busy service periods.
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures.
• Support opening, closing, and other daily restaurant duties as assigned.
• Communicate customer concerns or order issues to the appropriate team member.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, restaurant, café, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable learning and using POS systems.
• Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy.
• Able to remain organized while assisting multiple customers.
• Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant procedures.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
