Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register efficiently, accurately processing retail sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed.
• Handle cash drawer operations with integrity, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
• Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly approach.
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and assist with merchandising efforts to keep the store inviting and well-organized.
• Maintain professional phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or coordinating store activities.
• Support inventory management by assisting with stocking and product knowledge to enhance the customer shopping experience.

Requirements

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred, especially with POS systems and retail math calculations.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers effectively.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for supporting team efforts.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail transactions.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and stock management practices.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
