Cashier

Green Dot Stables is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily restaurant operations and provide efficient service to guests. This role involves greeting customers, taking food and beverage orders, processing payments, answering basic menu questions, and keeping the front counter clean and organized. The ideal candidate is attentive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take dine-in, takeout, and pickup orders accurately.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process approved payment methods.
• Answer basic questions about menu items, prices, and available options.
• Confirm order details and communicate special requests to kitchen staff.
• Provide receipts and assist with routine checkout requests.
• Organize completed orders and help maintain smooth customer flow.
• Keep the register, counter, and front-of-house areas clean and organized.
• Restock napkins, utensils, containers, bags, and other service supplies.
• Assist restaurant team members during busy service periods.
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures.
• Support opening, closing, and other daily duties as assigned.
• Communicate customer concerns or order issues to the appropriate team member.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, restaurant, café, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to guests.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable learning and using POS systems.
• Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy.
• Able to remain organized during busy service periods.
• Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant procedures.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
