• Processing Transactions:

• Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, debit, and gift card transactions accurately.

• Customer Service:

• Address customer questions, issues, and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.

• Handling Payments:

• Ensure that all forms of payment are processed properly and securely.

• Ensure correct amounts of change are given back to customers.

• Maintaining Cash Drawer:

• Regularly count the cash drawer to ensure accuracy.

• Report any discrepancies or issues with cash handling to a supervisor.

• Bagging Purchases:

• Properly bag and package items for customers, ensuring fragile items are handled with care.

• Make sure to follow store policies regarding item returns or exchanges.

• Monitoring Stock and Inventory:

• Check stock levels and alert supervisors if inventory is low or needs replenishment.

• Occasionally assist with restocking shelves or organizing merchandise near the cash register.

• Keeping the Checkout Area Organized:

• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure smooth operations.

• Make sure all necessary supplies (like bags, receipt paper, and change) are available.

• Upselling and Promotions:

• Suggest add-on items or promotions to customers in a polite and non-intrusive manner.

• Provide customers with information on current sales, discounts, or loyalty programs.

• Following Store Policies and Procedures:

• Adhere to all company policies related to cash handling, customer service, and safety.

• Ensure all transactions comply with store regulations and security measures.
