Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused, Part-Time Cashier to join our team. This position can expect an average of less than 35 hours per week (1-3 days). The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a retail environment and is committed to providing outstanding customer service.

Schedule & Availability Requirements

• Rotating schedule (hours and days will vary)
• Must have weekend availability (rotating weekend schedule) and flexible weekday availability
• Hours of Operation:
• Monday–Friday: 7:45 AM – 7:15 PM (Store hours 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Saturday: 7:45 AM – 6:15 PM (Store hours 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Sunday: 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM (Store hours 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
• Assist customers with questions, requests, and product locations
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls
• Accurately process transactions using POS system
• Handle cash and maintain balanced cash drawers
• Open/close registers and prepare deposits
• Assist with seasonal greenhouse operations
• Maintain cleanliness of checkout areas and sales floor
• Learn store layout and product offerings across all departments
• Stock and merchandise products as directed
• Follow all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills (required)
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Fast learner with strong attention to detail
• General computer knowledge
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Self-starter who follows instructions well
• Cash handling and POS experience preferred
• Retail experience (1+ year in customer service and cash handling) preferred, but willing to train the right candidate

Physical Requirements

• Standing for extended periods
• Occasional lifting up to 60 lbs
• Bending, kneeling, and use of step stools or ladders
• Ability to read screens and printed materials
• Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via radio earpieces
• Use of keyboard and telephone
