Job Overview

We are seeking energetic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Cashier and/or Kitchen Staff. MUST BE HONEST, RELIABLE, AND ABLE TO SHOW UP FOR YOUR SHIFT. PLEASE DO NOT REPLY IF YOU ARE ONLY FULFILLING AN UNEMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT! Typical shifts are 6:00A- 1:30p, 10:30a-1:30p, 1:30p-7:30p, 4:30-7:30p. Willing to accommodate college schedules. In this dynamic role, you will be the friendly face greeting customers, managing food orders, and ensuring smooth operations both at the cash register and/or behind the scenes in food preparation. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, POS systems, and fast-paced retail or restaurant environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate Verifone POS system to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash register operations, including processing cash, credit card, and digital payments while maintaining precise cash handling procedures.
• Assist customers with food service orders, upselling menu items to enhance their experience and increase sales.
• Prepare and assemble food items according to safety standards, including basic food preparation tasks and operating kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene protocols; including bussing tables and cleaning work areas regularly.
• Manage food handling responsibilities with a focus on safety management and proper food safety practices.
• Support the kitchen team by operating kitchen equipment safely, assisting with food prep, and ensuring timely service delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, managing retail sales transactions, and ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
• Uphold sanitation standards through proper food handling, cleaning procedures, and maintaining a tidy environment throughout shifts.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs.

Experience

• Previous experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
• Prior work in food industry roles involving cashiering, serving, or food preparation is desirable.
• Experience working in retail sales transactions or grocery store environments will be considered a plus.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities.

Pay: $11.25 - $14.00 per hour
