Duties

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity, ensuring proper cash handling procedures
• Pack customer purchases efficiently while maintaining product safety and presentation standards
• Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about store merchandise
• Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of checkout areas, including stocking supplies and merchandising displays
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering inquiries, and demonstrating strong phone etiquette when needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for those interested in growth opportunities
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Strong communication skills and friendly phone etiquette are essential for engaging with customers and team members
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
