Cashier / Sales Associate

About the role

The Cashier/Sales Associate greets customers on arrival and assists with any questions about purchases. This role works with management on day-to-day operations, focusing on sales targets and providing proper resolution to client inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Collect payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers and make change for cash customers
• Verify credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver's license number and operating credit card authorization systems
• Balance cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift
• Respond to all client inquiries from walk-in, email, social media (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram), and website channels
• Update necessary fields for sales on Client Database
• Assist in the delivery of client and supplier requirements and purchases
• Ensure all transactions are accompanied by valid documents and receipts
• Ensure displays are properly organized throughout the day and stocks are properly and neatly organized
• Conduct regular inventory counts as part of management reports
• Ensure workplace is neat, clean, and organized; keep work environment clean for customers and other employees

About you

• At least 1 year related experience in Retail
• Background in Sales
• College Level education
• Proficient in English communication skills
• Good MS Office application skills
• Knows how to use social media platforms
• Well organized and detail oriented
• Can work under pressure
• Team player with customer oriented approach
• Friendly and positive attitude
