Cashier/Cook

Job Summary

As a Cashier/Cook, you’ll keep service moving by preparing food, managing customer orders, and completing accurate transactions. You’ll switch smoothly between kitchen and front-counter tasks, creating a welcoming experience while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Your impact: Accurate order handling and fresh, safely prepared food help customers enjoy reliable, friendly service.

Duties

• Prepare and serve food, operate kitchen equipment, and follow food safety and sanitation practices.
• Take and manage customer orders, answer questions, and provide attentive customer service.
• Operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system; process cash and other retail sales transactions accurately.
• Support sales through helpful recommendations and appropriate upselling.
• Maintain a clean workspace and keep service and kitchen areas organized.

Qualifications

• Required: Customer service skills, basic math, time management, cash handling, and the ability to follow food-handling and sanitation procedures.
• Preferred: Food service, restaurant, quick-service or fast-food, café, grocery store, kitchen, or broader food industry experience; culinary experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems is helpful. Aloha POS and Micros POS experience are preferred.
• Experience with cashiering, serving, food preparation, food service customer order management, cash register operations, and food safety management is an asset.

Pay: $10.50 - $13.00 per hour
