Full-Time Front Counter / Cashier Staff

Hillbilly's Family Restaurant is looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Full-Time Front Counter / Cashier Team Member to join our team.

The Role

As a Front Counter / Cashier Team Member, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while taking orders, processing payments and preparing customer food orders for collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Taking customer orders accurately, both in person and by phone where required.
• Operating the restaurant till/POS system and processing cash and card payments.
• Handling cash responsibly and ensuring transactions are accurate.
• Packing takeaway and customer food orders correctly and efficiently.
• Checking orders before handing them to customers to ensure everything is included.
• Answering customer questions and dealing with customer requests in a polite and professional manner.
• Handling customer concerns or complaints calmly and appropriately.
• Keeping the front counter, till area and customer areas clean and tidy.
• Working closely with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared and handed out efficiently.
• Following all restaurant food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Restocking packaging, napkins, sauces and other front-of-house supplies when required.
• Helping the wider team with general restaurant duties during busy periods.
• Maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times.

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Comfortable handling cash and using a till/POS system.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment.
• A good communicator and team player.
• Well organised and attentive to detail.
• Able to remain calm and professional during busy periods.
• Willing to learn and follow restaurant procedures.
• Previous restaurant, cashier or customer service experience is an advantage, but training can be provided to the right person.

Hours

Full-time position with hours and shifts to be discussed at interview.

The role may include evening, weekend and public holiday work

Pay: From €14.15 per hour
