Cashier/Customer Service

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with their shopping experience. Your ability to engage with customers, manage cash handling, and maintain a well-stocked environment will contribute significantly to our store's success.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed to enhance their shopping experience.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, processing sales transactions accurately.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels to ensure products are readily available for customers.
• Assist in upselling products and promotions to increase sales opportunities.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring a pleasant shopping environment.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly with professionalism and courtesy.
• Support store management by supervising junior staff when required and assisting in training new employees.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
• Experience with stock management and inventory control is a plus.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
