Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage cash handling will be essential in creating a positive shopping experience. You will also have opportunities to engage in upselling and product demonstrations, contributing to the overall success of our grocery store.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and purchases.
• Operate the cash register accurately, processing transactions efficiently.
• Handle cash and credit transactions with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking as necessary.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products to customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer knowledge and drive sales.
• Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate pricing and transaction calculations.
• Assist in inventory management by stocking shelves and organizing products.

Experience

• Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash registers and retail math is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective customer interaction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience in supervising or training staff is a plus.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
