Part‑Time Team Member – Hook’d Up Seafood (Fresh Seafood Market)

Hook’d Up Seafood, a locally owned fresh seafood market, is seeking a dependable and customer‑focused Part‑Time Team Member to support daily operations and provide excellent service to our community. This role is ideal for someone reliable, personable, and eager to learn and grow in a small-business environment.

Duties

• Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision and integrity
• Assist customers by answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
• Upsell products and suggest additional items during checkout to enhance sales performance
• Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits of merchandise
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the retail space is clean, inviting, and well-merchandised
• Manage the cash drawer efficiently, performing cash handling tasks including balancing registers at shift end
• Support retail sales by engaging customers in friendly conversations, understanding their needs, and guiding them toward suitable products

Skills

• Proficiency in POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations for seamless transactions
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment preferred
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations and cash handling
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and inventory stocking procedures
• Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members while maintaining professional phone etiquette

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
