Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register accurately, handling all cash, credit, and debit transactions with attention to detail and integrity.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and resolving concerns promptly.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and sales.
• Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining organized product presentation to enhance store appeal.
• Upsell related products or promotions to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including cash drawer handling and balancing registers at shift end.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred; familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems is essential.
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in guiding team members or managing store operations.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers effectively.
• Knowledge of retail math for accurately handling cash register operations, cash handling, and balancing cash drawers.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately during transactions.
• Experience with merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and retail store product knowledge.
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive interactions with shoppers.
