Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register accurately, handling all retail sales transactions and cash drawer management with integrity.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and providing product demos when needed.
• Assist customers with their purchases, upselling relevant products to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain knowledge of store merchandise, including retail store product knowledge and merchandising standards.
• Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are well-organized and available for customers.
• Handle phone inquiries professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Support team members by supervising or assisting during busy periods and participating in product demonstrations to promote sales.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting is a plus.
• Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening.
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations, cash handling, and balancing cash drawers accurately.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising principles, and upselling techniques.
• Experience with stocking shelves and managing retail sales transactions efficiently is advantageous.

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
