Duties

• Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions with precision and confidence.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries.
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to enhance sales.
• Manage cash drawer handling, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays to maintain an attractive and organized store environment.
• Assist with merchandising efforts by arranging products appealingly and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
• Use POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions efficiently while maintaining excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or in person.

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail sales transactions.
• Strong supervising experience or leadership skills to guide team members when needed.
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling, pricing, and inventory counts.
• Excellent communication skills in both bilingual (if applicable) and monolingual contexts to connect effectively with diverse customers.
• Skilled in upselling techniques and product demos to maximize sales opportunities.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and basic math principles.
• Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette for a seamless shopping experience.
