Job Overview

The Strawberry Shop is looking for a warm, friendly, and responsible Cashier to join our team long-term. We want someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, communicates well, and can create a welcoming experience for every customer.

This is a permanent position for someone with open availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Your main responsibility will be operating the register and assisting customers, but you will also help prepare strawberry cups and support the team on the line when needed.

Team members receive both cash tips and a share of credit card tips.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every customer with a warm and friendly attitude
• Take orders and operate the POS system accurately and efficiently
• Handle cash, provide correct change, and maintain an organized cash drawer
• Answer questions and help customers choose from our menu
• Recommend products and add-ons when appropriate
• Prepare strawberry cups carefully and according to our recipes and presentation standards
• Keep the cashier area, service line, and workstations clean and organized
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
• Follow all food-safety, cleanliness, and cash-handling procedures
• Work collaboratively with the team during busy periods

Qualifications

• Previous cashiering and cash-handling experience is required
• Friendly, warm, confident, and comfortable speaking with customers
• Responsible, mature, honest, and dependable
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Able to count money and provide correct change accurately
• Open availability, especially during evenings, weekends, and some holidays
• Interested in a permanent, long-term position
• Able to remain calm, organized, and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to learn how to prepare our strawberry cups
• Experience using a POS system is preferred
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
