Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register accurately, handling all retail sales transactions with precision and efficiency
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
• Maintain knowledge of store products and merchandising to assist customers effectively and enhance their shopping experience
• Manage cash drawer handling responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and balancing registers at shift end
• Assist in stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and inviting
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support the team by supervising or mentoring new staff members when needed, fostering a collaborative environment

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
• Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations is advantageous
• Bilingual skills are a plus, enabling effective communication with a diverse customer base
• Strong communication skills, including clear verbal expression and active listening
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
• Experience with merchandising, stock management, or product demos will set you apart
• Supervising experience is beneficial for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
