Cashier/Customer Service Representative

Job Overview

We are looking for a cashier to work part-time in our Vape/Smoke shop in Kyle. The ideal candidate is friendly & has previous experience in cash handling, as well as customer service. We currently need someone to close the store from 4pm-10pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, with the opportunity for additional hours on the weekend when needed.

Biweekly direct deposit, as well as tips! Any tips made on your shift, go to you - no tip pooling!

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs
• Provide knowledgeable assistance on retail store product, including new items when applicable
• Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase store revenue when possible (mentioning any store promotions, getting new customers to sign up for rewards, etc)
• Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
• Stock merchandise as necessary
• Maintain a clean work environment

Requirements

• Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is preferred; training will be provided
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and performing retail math calculations
• Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively

Pay: From $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 20.0 per week
