Job Summary

We’re looking for a friendly and energetic Cashier/Customer Service Representative to be the face of our store. In this role, you’ll handle retail sales transactions, assist customers with their needs, and ensure a positive shopping experience. If you enjoy engaging with people, have a knack for multitasking, and love retail environments, this could be the perfect fit for you!

Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries.
• Upsell products and promote store specials or new items to enhance sales opportunities.
• Stock shelves and organize products to ensure the store remains tidy and inviting for customers.
• Demonstrate product features or conduct product demos to educate customers about our offerings.
• Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring products are well-presented.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing cash register operations.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve our diverse customer base effectively.
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and grocery store operations is beneficial.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
