Cashier/Host - IHOP

As a Cashier/Host at IHOP, you will be the welcoming face of our restaurant, ensuring a positive first and last impression for every guest. You will manage the flow of customers, process payments accurately, and support the dining experience to create memorable moments.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the waitlist efficiently, using a polite and professional demeanor.
• Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and inform them of any specials.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries clearly and courteously.
• Process cash, credit, and debit card payments accurately and efficiently, handling transactions with integrity.
• Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring all transactions balance.
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand and cashier area, including menus and waiting areas.
• Assist with light cleaning duties as needed to maintain restaurant cleanliness standards.
• Collaborate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
• Understand and adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation.

Job Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle cash and process financial transactions accurately.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional guest service.
