Cashier/Prepper

Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Cashier/Prepper, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently handling food preparation and retail transactions. This energetic position combines the fast-paced environment of food service with the precision of cashiering, ensuring our customers enjoy a seamless experience from ordering to checkout. You will be responsible for preparing fresh food items, operating POS systems, managing cash register operations, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back!

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and freshness.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash register operations, including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end.
• Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and upselling products to enhance sales.
• Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation standards, proper food handling procedures, and food safety management practices.
• Assist with food service customer order management, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of orders.
• Support kitchen operations by operating kitchen equipment safely, bussing tables, and assisting with food prep as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a sanitized work environment.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Prior retail sales or grocery store experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for the food industry is essential.

Pay: $8.00 - $12.00 per hour
