Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selections, providing detailed product demos when needed
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions and handle cash register operations with precision
• Manage cash handling duties including cash drawer balancing and ensuring secure cash handling procedures are followed
• Upsell products and services by identifying customer needs and recommending relevant items to enhance their shopping experience
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is clean, tidy, and visually appealing through effective merchandising techniques
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging additional sales opportunities
• Assist in inventory management by stocking new merchandise and participating in regular stock counts
• Support team supervision by mentoring new associates and maintaining a positive team environment

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred, especially with cashiering or POS systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in bilingual settings if applicable
• Proven ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory management
• Demonstrated cashiering skills including cash register operations, cash handling, and cash drawer handling
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising standards, and upselling techniques
• Experience with supervising or mentoring team members is a plus but not required
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Basic math skills for transaction accuracy and inventory control

Pay: $10.50 - $12.00 per hour
