Duties

• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling retail sales transactions with accuracy and speed using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and cash handling procedures are followed.
• Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and organizing inventory to keep the store inviting and well-stocked.
• Support customers with retail store product knowledge, helping them find items that suit their needs while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when assisting via phone.
• Engage in retail math calculations for sales totals, discounts, and returns to ensure accurate transactions.

Requirements

• Previous experience with POS systems and cashiering is preferred; strong basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling.
• Supervising experience is a plus, especially in guiding new team members or managing customer service issues.
• Ability to perform product demos confidently and educate customers about merchandise features.
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor; proficiency in phone etiquette is important for remote assistance.
• Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling and merchandising strategies to enhance store performance.
• Ability to handle retail store product knowledge confidently and assist customers with their shopping experience.
