Cashier/Sales Associate

Job Overview

As a Cashier/Sales Associate, you’ll create a welcoming shopping experience by helping customers find products, answering questions, and completing accurate transactions. You’ll use point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash register operations while keeping the sales floor organized and ready for customers. Your impact: Helpful product guidance and efficient checkout make shopping easier for customers and support a smooth-running store.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service, communicate clearly, and use professional phone etiquette.
• Process retail sales transactions, operate the cash register, and handle cash and the cash drawer accurately.
• Recommend relevant products through retail sales, upselling, and product demonstrations.
• Maintain product knowledge; assist with stocking and merchandising to keep displays organized and appealing.
• Support daily store operations and, when assigned, help supervise team activities.

Requirements

• Customer service, cashiering, sales, or retail sales experience is helpful; supervising experience is a plus.
• Comfortable with POS systems, cash handling, cash drawer procedures, and retail sales transactions.
• Able to use basic math and retail math to process payments and check transaction accuracy.
• Strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and confidence explaining products and making relevant recommendations.
• Bilingual ability and experience with product demos, stocking, merchandising, or retail store product knowledge are valued.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
