Cashier/Server

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food service and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. This role involves both serving customers and handling cashier responsibilities, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

Duties

• Greet and welcome customers with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing the Micros POS system for order entry.
• Prepare food items as needed, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining attention to detail in presentation.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy.
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area and kitchen, following sanitation protocols.
• Assist in training new staff members on food preparation, service techniques, and POS operations.

Skills

• Proven experience in the food industry with a strong background in restaurant operations.
• Proficient in using POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient order processing.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively during busy periods.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
