Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit card transactions, and returns with confidence and efficiency
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are properly displayed to maximize sales potential
• Conduct product demos and upselling opportunities to promote featured items and increase store revenue
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and store environment in compliance with safety standards
• Support inventory management through stocking, receiving shipments, and conducting regular stock checks
• Use POS (Point of Sale) systems effectively to process retail sales transactions and handle cash drawer balancing

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers in a friendly manner; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Basic math skills for handling cash register operations, cash handling, and retail math calculations
• Demonstrated cashiering experience including cash register operations, retail sales transactions, and cash drawer handling
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and inventory stocking procedures
• Excellent phone etiquette for assisting customers over the phone or at the checkout counter
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
