Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card payments, and returns
• Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits of select items, enhancing customer engagement and upselling opportunities
• Stock shelves efficiently by receiving shipments, organizing products, and maintaining attractive displays through merchandising best practices
• Assist customers with locating products and offer suggestions to increase sales through upselling techniques
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and adherence to cash register operations procedures
• Support store operations by participating in inventory counts, stock replenishment, and ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date for effective customer assistance

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
• Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members during busy shifts or training new staff
• Bilingual skills are highly desirable to better serve diverse customer needs
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening, are essential for engaging customers effectively
• Basic math skills are necessary for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail store product knowledge will help you succeed in this role
