Duties

• Operate cash registers efficiently, accurately processing retail sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product demos when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring quick and smooth cashiering experiences for all customers.
• Stock shelves, back stock areas, and displays with merchandise, ensuring products are properly labeled and merchandised to attract customer attention.
• Assist in inventory management by receiving shipments, verifying deliveries, and updating stock levels through proper stocking procedures.
• Support upselling efforts by suggesting relevant products to enhance customer purchases and increase sales.
• Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, demonstrating professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with POS systems and cashiering is preferred; strong basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for supporting team operations.
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage customers confidently.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and retail math to optimize sales opportunities.
• Ability to perform stocking duties efficiently while maintaining safety standards in the store environment.
• Experience conducting product demos or upselling can significantly enhance customer engagement and sales performance.

Pay: $17.85 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 34.0 per week
