Casino Technician

The Casino Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic gaming machines (EGMs), slot machines, and related gaming equipment. This role ensures that all casino gaming devices operate efficiently, securely, and in compliance with PAGCOR regulations. The technician plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, maximizing game performance, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, test, and inspect slot machines and electronic gaming devices according to manufacturer specifications and internal protocols.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues on gaming machines and peripherals (bill validators, ticket printers, touchscreens, etc.).
• Handle game conversions, software upgrades, and configuration changes as required by operations or regulations.
• Assist in relocating machines and setting up gaming floor layouts.
• Monitor machine performance and report irregularities or suspicious activity.
• Maintain accurate service logs, inventory of parts, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all repairs and modifications are conducted in accordance with PAGCOR guidelines and casino policies.
• Assist with jackpot verifications and payouts when needed.
• Collaborate with other departments (Surveillance, IT, Security) to resolve issues or support investigations.
• Respond to floor calls promptly and professionally to minimize guest inconvenience.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Technical/vocational diploma or college degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in slot machine repair, electronics, or casino gaming equipment maintenance.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude and a willingness to train may be considered.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of slot machine systems such as IGT, Aristocrat, Konami, or similar.
• Familiarity with gaming peripherals (bill validators, ticket-in/ticket-out (TITO) systems, coin hoppers, etc.)
• Basic understanding of networking and computer hardware/software troubleshooting is an advantage.

Preferred Certifications (Optional but Advantageous):

• TESDA NC II in Electronics or Electrical Installation and Maintenance
