Job Overview

we are expanding its specialized admissions test preparation services and is currently looking for experienced and motivated CASPer Test Tutors/Coaches to join our team.

We work with CEGEP and university students preparing for professional programs such as Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Veterinary Medicine, and other health-related programs.

This is a part-time, remote position with flexible scheduling.

Position: CASPer Test Tutor / Coach

Job Type: Part-time / Contract
Location: Remote
Compensation: $30–$35/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Flexible, primarily evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized 1-on-1 CASPer preparation through Zoom
• Help students understand CASPer-style scenarios and develop effective reasoning strategies
• Coach students on:
• Situational judgment
• Ethical reasoning
• Empathy and perspective-taking
• Communication
• Decision-making
• Time management
• Practice both typed and video responses
• Conduct timed CASPer-style practice sessions
• Provide specific and constructive feedback on student responses
• Help students identify weaknesses and improve through repeated practice
• Follow A-Plus Education's structured CASPer preparation framework
• Provide brief notes or practice recommendations after sessions when appropriate

QualificationsRequired

• Previous experience taking the CASPer test
• Strong understanding of the CASPer testing format
• Excellent English communication skills
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to explain your reasoning clearly and coach students effectively
• Reliable internet connection and ability to teach online

Strongly Preferred

• Fourth-quartile CASPer performance
• Multiple CASPer test experiences
• Previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching, teaching, or interview-preparation experience
• Current or former student in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or another health-professional program
• Experience applying to Canadian professional or graduate programs

You should be comfortable working with students who may feel uncertain about CASPer because there is no simple answer key to memorize. Our goal is to help students develop clear, thoughtful, and consistent reasoning under time pressure.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2.0 – 4.0 per week
