Casting Engineer

About the Role:

The Casting Engineer s role is to develop, optimize, and implement investment-casting processes both in-house and at customer sites, ensuring product quality, operational efficiency, and timely resolution of casting-related issues.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new/improved investment-casting processes, tooling and material studies.

• Analyze existing production methods and implement process improvements at customer sites.

• Establish process standards, routing, and manufacturing instructions to maximize efficiency.

• Create engineering specifications, process sheets, and performance-analysis tools.

• Lead root-cause analyses and corrective actions for safety, quality, or production deviations.

• Develop and maintain real-time dashboards reflecting process performance and project status.

• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of casting equipment on/off site.

• Travel to customer locations (city/outstation) for process implementation, training, and troubleshooting.

• Report daily activities, findings, and recommendations to the Sr. Engineer.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering (or related).

• 1 3 years experience in investment-casting or metallurgical process engineering.

• Hands-on knowledge of metallurgy, gating, thermal and mould design, and flow simulations.

• Proficient in MS Excel and basic engineering reporting (PPF).

• Strong analytical skills for root-cause analysis and continuous-improvement initiatives.

• Excellent communication skills and customer-site training capability.

• Willingness to travel and work independently at customer facilities.
