What they need

Little Athletics Queensland are on the lookout for passionate coaches to join our development team and help deliver school-based programs. These paid entry-level roles are perfect for those with availability in the early mornings (7:15-9:00am) and afternoons (2:30-4:30pm) and would suit a student, or someone wanting to make their start in the sporting industry.

Two types of roles are being recruited, Program Leaders, as well as Program Assistants, with appointment to each based on your ability to lead others and take responsibility as the senior figure at sessions.

Primarily, the Casual Development Coordinator will coach children through our rapidly expanding Ultimate Athletics introductory primary & high school programs, however other opportunities to become involved in our FAST community program, coaching at local Centres and our other development programs may also arise.

Roles are available across all South East Queensland locations, but a specific focus is needed in the Ipswich & Brisbane West region.

We are seeking people with:

·         Some knowledge of athletics and particularly Little Athletics.

·         Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.

·         Excellent program planning and delivery skills.

·         Excellent decision making & organisation.

·         Good energy & and enjoyment for coaching.

·         High level of customer focus.

·         Ability to lead and work effectively with others as part of a team.

·         Willingness to work effectively in a flexible environment and keep to tight timelines.

If this sounds like you, please get in touch with State Development Manager, Keith Webb today and join us on our runway to Brisbane 2032 as one of the fastest growing sports in Queensland!

To apply, please send through a copy of your CV, plus a brief cover letter of no more than one page including:

·         Why you would love to do this job

·         The suburb you live

·         The weekdays you're available to work, primarily from 3pm - 5pm; and/or 7am - 9am.

Applications can be sent to [email protected].

Interviews may be conducted prior to applications closing, so don't delay!

Please note that while rosters will remain generally standard throughout a school term, work may fluctuate across the year dependent on programs that are running and their proximity to your location.
