Casual Disability Support Worker

About the role

This role involves supporting a number of Participants with varying levels of disability and support needs within their own homes and out in the community. While this is not a traditional SIL house setting, many supports are similar in nature to SIL-style supports, with a strong focus on personal care, daily living assistance, routine-based support, and promoting independence within the Participant's home environment.

Key responsibilities

• Personal care and daily living assistance
• Community access and social support
• Assisting Participants to attend appointments and activities
• Domestic assistance and meal preparation
• Medication prompting/administering (where applicable)
• Supporting Participants to achieve their individual goals
• Providing structured, routine-based supports within Participants' own homes

About you

• Experience within Disability Support, SIL-style supports, Personal Care or similar highly regarded
• A minimum of 12 months experience in disability support, aged care, or related fields is essential
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or similar preferred
• Strong communication skills and confidence working independently
• Proven initiative, dependability, and a practical, participant-focused approach to support work
• Ability to adapt to Participants with varying support needs and behaviours
• Current Driver's Licence
• Reliable and insured vehicle
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Blue Card / Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Orientation Module Certificate
• Smartphone and basic technology skills for progress notes and reporting
• Manual handling experience
• Fine with Large dogs that live inside and outside the home
