Responsibilities

• Greet guests with genuine warmth and professionalism as they arrive, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the first moment.
• Manage restaurant reservation systems efficiently, including Cake POS and CakePop POS, to optimize seating flow and minimize wait times.
• Coordinate table assignments and seating arrangements using restaurant table management systems to ensure smooth service.
• Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate wait times and reservation details while maintaining clear communication.
• Assist guests with seating preferences, special requests, and inquiries about menu items or restaurant policies.
• Support the host team by maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, including menus and reservation logs.
• Collaborate closely with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure guest needs are met promptly and professionally.
• Uphold food safety standards and promote a hospitable environment that emphasizes guest satisfaction and positive guest relations.

Experience

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is highly preferred, especially within fine dining or hospitality environments.
• Strong background in restaurant reservation management systems such as Cake POS is advantageous.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and in person.
• Experience working with POS systems and familiarity with restaurant table management tools is desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all guests.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining organizational skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Previous hotel or food service experience is a plus, highlighting versatility in guest services and hospitality roles.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
