Casual Front Office/Guest Services

About the role

Our Front Office / Guest Services team is responsible for both the hotel operations and reservations for the entire Mandoon Estate, making this a varied and interesting role. This is a casual position, with shifts generally ranging from 2–6 shifts per fortnight. There are no late-night shifts. Our Front Office operates during the day, with opening hours between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and providing a warm, professional first impression.
• Managing guest check-ins and check-outs.
• Handling guest enquiries in person, by phone and via email.
• Managing hotel and estate reservations and assisting guests with their bookings.
• Providing information about Maya Maya, Mandoon Estate and the Swan Valley.
• Responding to guest requests and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Processing payments, billing and general reception administration.
• Assisting with group bookings, corporate events, weddings and conferences.
• Working closely with other departments to ensure a smooth guest experience.
• Maintaining high standards of presentation and service across the Front Office.

About you

• Previous experience in a minimum 4-star hotel and/or Front Office/Reception environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Confidence working independently and making decisions when required.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A professional and friendly manner.
• The ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods.
• Good computer and administration skills.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• The ability to work collaboratively and support the wider team.
• Experience with Guest Centrix/CMS is advantageous but not essential.
