Casual School Nurse

King's College is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our Health Centre team on a casual - term time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse looking for flexibility, variety, and a chance to make a meaningful difference in the health and wellbeing of young people. 

Health Centre - Te Puna Whaiora King's College, an independent Anglican secondary co-educational boarding and day-school based in Otahuhu, Auckland. 
  
Our Health Centre offers a unique nursing environment, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during school terms, providing around the clock care for our boarding students and supporting day students during College hours. 
  
Our nursing team provides a wide range of clinical services, including acute assessment, injury management, emergency care and ongoing student health and wellbeing support.
 
Hours of work: Casual shifts are available across mornings, afternoons, nights and weekends during school terms, depending on operational requirements and staff availability.
 
What you'll bring
  
The successful applicant will:

• Hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate, current CPR certificate, and a full driver’s license.
• Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand
• Have sound clinical assessment, care planning and problem-solving skills
• Be confident providing first aid and emergency care
• Be able to work independently as sole nurse on duty and collaboratively within our multi-disciplinary team of nurses, physiotherapists, counselors and doctors
• Have excellent written and verbal communication
• Have proficient computer literacy, with Medtech experience an advantage
• Have an interest in youth health, health promotion and preventative care
