CAT 3 Inspection Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a CAT 3 Inspection Engineer to cover the Northeast.

The role will focus on the Inspection of pressurised static equipment e.g. vessels, tanks, piping, relief devices, to meet regulatory and client requirements

Requirements

• Trained/qualified in a relevant engineering discipline., engineering Technician status desirable.
• 5 years of experience working within a relevant engineering discipline e.g. mechanical technician.
• Mechanical Engineering background.
• Experience in the Chemical and /or Oil & Gas sectors
• Understanding of engineering principals.
• EEMUA / API / NDT qualification/experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Eye for detail.
• Meeting tight deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills, and the capability to work independently.
• Appreciation of pressure equipment
• Experience / appreciation of non-destructive examination techniques (NDT)

Successful applicants must meet the UKAS definition for category 3 inspection engineers as seen below:

Category 3 . Engineering Technician as defined by Engineering Council or equivalent (e.g. Appropriate ONC with relevant experience, NVQ Level III) having a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a relevant discipline of which at least one year shall have been spent working within an engineering discipline associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems.
