Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of cats’ coats to meet client specifications.
• Safely handle and restrain cats during grooming procedures using animal handling techniques to ensure comfort and safety.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to discuss grooming preferences, provide advice on pet coat styling, and address any special needs or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in excellent condition.
• Assist with pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other basic pet care tasks as needed.
• Recognize signs of health issues or discomfort in cats and report concerns to veterinary professionals or management promptly.
• Support team members with animal handling, heavy lifting of supplies or equipment, and maintaining a safe environment for pets and staff alike.

Requirements

• Previous experience in pet grooming, veterinary technician work, veterinary assisting, or animal handling is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of dog training, animal restraint techniques, and companion animal handling is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming procedures and pet care.
• Familiarity with pet coat styling, pet nail trimming, and animal care best practices.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a lively and positive attitude.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during grooming sessions.
• Passion for animals combined with excellent communication skills to create a welcoming environment for pets and their owners.
