Category Advisor

Role Purpose

The Category Advisor will work closely with Kohl’s Merchant, Planning and Space teams to drive growth and productivity of the overall Bath category through data-driven category management, assortment optimization, planogram/MOD development and space planning. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Blue Yonder (JDA) and the ability to independently develop, analyze and optimize planograms/MODs based on sales productivity, assortment strategy, space allocation and customer needs.

Primary Responsibilities

· Own planogram / MOD creation, maintenance and optimization for the Kohl’s Bath category.

· Use Blue Yonder (JDA) Space Planning to build, modify and optimize planograms/MODs.

· Translate assortment strategies into executable store-level planograms.

· Recommend optimal shelf and fixture space allocation based on sales, units, margin, productivity, inventory and customer demand.

· Perform space-to-sales, SKU productivity and facing analysis to determine appropriate product placement and space allocation.

· Partner directly with Kohl’s Merchant, Planning and Space teams throughout assortment and MOD development.

· Manage planogram changes associated with new item introductions, SKU rationalization, assortment changes and seasonal transitions.

· Ensure planograms meet retailer merchandising standards, fixture constraints and store execution requirements.

· Analyze category performance across sales, units, margin, inventory, sell-through, pricing, promotions and space productivity.

· Develop assortment recommendations across brands, price points, colors, sizes, materials and product attributes.

· Conduct competitive benchmarking and identify assortment, pricing and merchandising white-space opportunities.

· Evaluate item-level productivity and recommend SKU additions, deletions, repositioning and space changes.

· Build category scorecards, dashboards and executive-level presentations for Kohl’s leadership.

· Measure the impact of category and MOD changes on sales, margin, inventory productivity and overall category performance.

· Maintain an objective, category-first approach focused on growing the overall Kohl’s Bath business.
