Category Assistant

Job Summary

The Category Assistant supports the Category Manager in planning, implementing, and monitoring category strategies to drive sales, profitability, and market share. The role assists in product management, market analysis, promotions, inventory monitoring, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of category plans and marketing initiatives.
• Monitor sales performance, product movements, and inventory levels.
• Prepare and analyze sales reports, category performance reports, and market data.
• Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Operations teams regarding category requirements.
• Support new product launches, product relaunches, and promotional activities.
• Track competitor activities, pricing, and product trends.
• Maintain product databases, pricing information, and category documentation.
• Assist in forecasting demand and monitoring stock availability.
• Coordinate with suppliers and agencies for product-related requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of reports and presentation materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Economics, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; experience in FMCG, Retail, or Category Management is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php23,000.00 per month
