Category Buyer

About the role

Execute sourcing strategies defined by the respective category leader / manager and sourcing decisions for assigned category on local level inclusive the generation of purchase orders. Conduct purchasing of materials and services independently and allocate frame contracts to demand requests. Lead sourcing, procurement, and supplier management activities for the Professional Services category, with primary focus on local Manila requirements covering Agency Partners, HR Services, Marketing, Communications, Events, and related business services.

Key responsibilities

• Execute sourcing strategies and sourcing decisions for assigned category on local level inclusive the generation of purchase orders
• Conduct purchasing of materials and services independently and allocate frame contracts to demand requests
• Drive performance responsibility for assigned category and supply base and its reporting within the category team
• Actively drive sourcing process, identifying global supply needs, soliciting quotes, tendering and negotiating supplier contracts within the category level defined boundaries
• Analyse supply markets for the assigned commodity groups in alignment and under guidance of the category procurement manager and / or global category leader
• Involve in global savings and KPI achievements and its reporting of the supply base
• Support the category team in developing commodity and supplier strategies and in optimizing the procurement process within the agreed field of engagement
• Serve as main contract for external and internal stakeholder
• Actively manage relationships and provide support/guidance as appropriate
• Partner closely with local stakeholders to manage end-to-end sourcing initiatives, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract execution while driving cost optimization, service excellence, compliance, and supplier performance
