Category Head - Dairy

Category strategy and curation: Define what dairy stands for. Build the assortment across milk, curd, paneer, butter, ghee, cheese, cream, yogurts, plant-based alternatives and specialty or artisanal lines, balancing everyday staples with differentiated, premium and exclusive offerings.

P&L ownership: Drive revenue, gross margin, contribution and inventory health for the category. Set pricing, promotions and range-review cadences.

Brand and supplier partnerships: Build and manage relationships with national dairy brands, D2C and farm-to-home players, regional cooperatives and private dairies. Negotiate commercial terms, exclusives and joint business plans.

Quality and cold chain: Work with supply chain and quality teams on sourcing standards, freshness, shelf life, cold-chain integrity, wastage and fill rates. In dairy, these decide whether customers trust us.

Private label and new product development: Spot white spaces and build owned or co-developed dairy products where they strengthen margin or differentiation.

Customer and data insight: Use purchase data, cohort behaviour, subscription patterns and customer feedback to refine range, pack sizes and pricing.

Growth: Partner with marketing and growth on category campaigns, launches and bundles that drive frequency and adoption.

Team building: Hire and grow a lean category team as the business scales.
