1. Job Objective

To manage the complete FMCG category at the store, ensuring optimum stock availability, effective merchandising, sales achievement, inventory accuracy, minimum expiry/damage and high customer satisfaction.

2. Key Responsibilities

Sales & Category Management

• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets for the FMCG category.
• Monitor category-wise sales and identify opportunities for growth.
• Ensure proper product assortment and availability as per store requirements.
• Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving and non-moving products.
• Drive category growth through effective merchandising and promotional activities.
• Track competitor pricing, offers and product availability.

Inventory Management

• Maintain optimum stock levels based on sales trends and store requirements.
• Monitor stock ageing and ensure timely movement of ageing inventory.
• Control stock-outs and excess inventory.
• Coordinate with the purchase/merchandising team for replenishment.
• Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
