Category Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies for Architectural Hardware products in line with business objectives.

• Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitors, and industry developments within the Architectural Hardware market.

• Manage the Architectural Hardware portfolio, including door hardware, locks, hinges, door closers, and related products.

• Identify product gaps and new opportunities based on market demand and customer requirements.

• Plan product assortments, positioning, pricing, lifecycle, and product discontinuation.

• Prepare business cases and launch plans for new Architectural Hardware products.

• Define product requirements and coordinate with Product Management and Purchasing on product sourcing.

• Monitor category sales, gross margin, product mix, inventory, and new product performance.

• Provide product and market insights to support Sales, Marketing, architects, designers, and project teams.

• Coordinate with local and global teams to ensure the product portfolio meets market and company requirements.

• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Category Management, Product Management, Product Marketing, or Business Development.
• Experience in Architectural Hardware, door hardware, locks, building materials, or construction products is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Architectural Hardware products, applications, customer groups, and market trends.
• Experience in market analysis, product portfolio management, pricing, and new product launches.
• Strong analytical, commercial, project management, and communication skills.
• Good command of English.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally when required.
