Category Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, contract management or a related field.
• Experience in supplier sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, policies, and contract management.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders or organizations is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies for assigned categories based on organizational needs.
• Analyze spending and purchasing requirements to identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier consolidation.
• Lead supplier sourcing and negotiations, including the preparation and implementation of contracts and agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, and purchasing activities.
• Identify procurement risks and recommend appropriate actions.
• Review and improve procurement processes to promote efficiency, standardization, and compliance.
• Provide procurement and commercial insights to committees and other stakeholders.
• Monitor market and supplier developments and recommend strategies that support organizational goals.
