Category Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to lead assortment strategy and supplier partnerships for China market within the perfume and cosmetics category in Gold Apple. This role is responsible for building a profitable, high-performing product portfolio while driving revenue growth, margin optimization, and inventory efficiency across omnichannel retail operations.

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen, supplier negotiation expertise, and deep knowledge of beauty retail dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations and contract discussions with product suppliers
• Develop and manage a profitable, liquid, and market-relevant assortment for China market
• Own category P&L performance including revenue and gross margin targets
• Manage product procurement and assortment lifecycle
• Monitor gross margin, pricing strategy, and inventory turnover
• Analyze market trends, competitor landscape, and customer demand
• Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, logistics, and e-commerce teams
• Drive continuous category optimization to improve profitability and stock efficiency

Requirements

• Experience in omnichannel retail in China
• Experience in assortment management and product procurement
• Knowledge of the perfume and cosmetics market in China
