Job description

Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute detailed buying plan based on category business plan at the

subcategory and the branch level on a monthly basis.

Thoroughly analyze all data in the category to know category performance vs Plan.

New Store Development

Execute the required plans in line with any new store development

Ensure CATMAN, Planogram is executed in line with agreed store format

Vendor

Identify appropriate vendor for each product. Develop TOT for that vendor. Negotiate

pricing and ensure minimum lead time and maximum fill rates

Ensure that vendor payments are done as per agreed timelines

People

Identify required skills set for specific category and ensure appropriate training is

given to be able to drive their performance

Efficiently coordinate and communicate category strategy & plan with relevant teams.

Ensure that all members are equipped with required ammunition to deliver category

mission.

Develop accountable and result oriented teams for all activities allocated to them with

monitoring methods.

Coordinate with HR on Periodic evaluation of staff as per their KRAs, KPIs and identify

areas for improvement and ensure appropriate training is given where required.
