CATEGORY MANAGER- PROCUREMENT

Mission

The successful candidate will join the Procurement Department, taking responsibility for supplier management, negotiation of commercial terms, and purchase order follow-up, ensuring the timely supply of materials and components required to support the company's production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned purchasing categories, ensuring the availability of materials, components, and supplies required for industrial operations.
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including needs assessment, supplier sourcing and selection, RFQ management and analysis, negotiation, and purchase order awarding.
• Work closely with Production, Logistics, Warehouse, and Quality departments to understand business needs and ensure materials are available within the required timeframes.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, improved commercial terms, and greater efficiency in procurement processes.
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of purchasing strategies across different product and material categories.
• Manage and develop relationships with key suppliers, monitoring their performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery lead times.
• Oversee purchase order tracking, resolve potential issues, and ensure suppliers meet their contractual commitments.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement procedures, proposing initiatives to optimize purchasing and supply management.
• Participate in the implementation and enhancement of digital procurement tools and ERP systems, promoting process automation and efficiency.
• Prepare and analyze procurement KPIs, cost reports, and supplier data to support informed decision-making within the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within the industrial sector.
• Proven experience in supplier management and negotiation.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, purchase order management, and cost control.
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Navision, or similar).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English.
• Strong negotiation skills and a results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
