About TRIA
TRIA is a women‑owned consulting firm of industry veterans who turn strategy into action for clients in semiconductor, construction, and retail. We deliver sourcing strength, supply‑chain clarity, workflow optimization, and strategic planning that build sustainable, high‑performing operations.
Position Summary
TRIA is looking for a Jr. Category Manager to provide research, data analysis, and reporting support to TRIA’s leadership team across client engagements. This is an entry-to-early-career role for someone with a foundation in analytics, research, or procurement/supply chain who enjoys digging into data and market conditions to inform sourcing and supply chain decisions. You’ll compile and analyze operational, financial, and supply chain data, research suppliers and market conditions relevant to TRIA’s active client engagements and prepare written reports and scenario analyses for use directly with TRIA clients — all in a fully remote, collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis Support- Compiling, organizing, cleaning, and analyzing operational, financial, and supply chain data for TRIA client engagements.
Supplier & Market Research- Researching suppliers, vendors, and market conditions relevant to the industries and supply chains of the clients TRIA’s leadership team is actively serving.
Supply Chain Reporting & Scenario Analysis- Preparing written reports, summaries, and analyses of supply chain scenarios (e.g., sourcing alternatives, cost/risk comparisons, supplier evaluations) as requested by TRIA leadership for use with TRIA clients.
Ad Hoc Support- Other related research, analysis, and administrative support tasks reasonably assigned by TRIA leadership within the general scope above.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, purchasing, or a related analytical role.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic data modeling) and comfort working with large data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize data clearly for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple category workstreams simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
Skills & Competencies
- Analytical rigor — comfortable translating data into actionable recommendations.
- Project management — able to juggle timelines across multiple project initiatives.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in the United States.
Equal Opportunity
TRIA is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.
